Living healthfully one thought, one forkful and one yoga pose at a time

   About Me

“Knowledge is power, information is liberating, education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family.”
    - Kofi Annan

Nontraditionally, I am a soul seeking joy, love, enlightenment and peace through yoga, meditation, spiritual healers, music and Ayurveda.

Traditionally, I am a mother, a lover, a court reporter, a writer, a 90-percent organic vegan and a cook.

With every fiber of my being, my goal is to feed you information that you might not otherwise have known was out there.  My promise to you is that I shall never insult your intelligence by asking you to implement a new way of thinking, eating or exercising that I haven’t already adopted in my own life.  Additionally, I will steadfastly maintain the integrity of my original purpose, which is to share my experiences as a woman on the constant quest for healthy answers.

I am 47 years old.  My wake-up call came in April of 2012, when I was diagnosed with the MSH6 mutation of Lynch syndrome, which forced me to change my entire way of thinking about everything.  My only child is 20 years of age, a marine biology student and a competitor on the university’s surf team.  I am very fortunate to say that he does not have Lynch syndrome.  I am in a committed, long-term relationship with a wonderfully tender, gentle man whom I am eternally grateful to have in my life.

If you have found yourself at the end of your rope due to a medical diagnosis, fray the end a bit and make room for me.  Let’s ride the pendulum swings together.

With much gratitude, let me say that I am honored to be able to share my experiences with you.

Thank you for allowing my voice to be heard and for gracing me with your presence in my words.  Always I will be open and receptive to contributions you may have that will enhance the information I share here.

Many wishes for your inner peace,
